Flowering
A 4-Part Coming of Age Series
For young girls 11 years and above that have not yet passed through Menarche (first menstruation).
Thursday evenings, 4:30-6:30pm
July 6th thru July 27th
Every young girl should feel celebrated and empowered as they pass through their first Rite of Passage, Menarche. This series is an invitation to connect with other girls, celebrate your bodies and feel confident and excited to step into the next phase of womanhood.
Hi friend,
I am so excited you have found yourself on this page. You, my dear, are an incredible human being that deserves to be celebrated and honored as you journey into womanhood. Flowering is just that! We will circle, sing, dance, learn and share.
On this joyful, sacred journey we will:
talk about what a ‘Rite of Passage’ is
prepare for and learn about the beautiful passage of Menarche
deepen our connection to and celebrate our physical bodies
create friendships with other girls and honor one another
explore the cycles of the female body and our connection to the earth
There is magic in our menstrual cycle.
What happens inside?
Opening Earth to Roots Ceremony
We will begin with an opening flower and fire ceremony.
Welcoming the directions, casting our circle of sisterhood and setting intentions for our journey together, we will create a flower mandala in the sacred fire altar and light the fire with love, song and open hearts.
Co-facilitated by Sandy Crow
emBODY you Circle
Learning about our bodies is an important part of loving them.
In this circle, we will explore the anatomy of menstruation and honor each of our body’s differences.
We will be guided through a sweet, nourishing self-given foot massage to relax, enjoy some movement and breath, and close with song and sound healing.
Co-facilitated by Braelyn Gillespie
Weaving the WAY Circle
While discussing WHAT Menarche is all about, we will craft self-care items such as heating pads & tea and learn ways to take care of ourselves during menstruation.
This crafting workshop will be much more than a take home basket full of handcrafted love. It will prepare each girl for the blessing of Menarche.
Celebrate YOU Closing Ceremony
This ceremony is all about celebrating YOU! We will have a closing fire ceremony, sharing what we have learned, dancing, singing and Flowering into ourselves with new friends, sweet memories and beautiful journeys ahead.
Family welcome to join for Fire Ceremony at 5:30pm (after dance).
Co-facilitated and dance lead by Anna Crytzer
